Red Hot CHILI'S Pepper, Empire Shopping Gallery

Established as a Tex-Mex (a fusion of American cuisine and Mexican Cuisine) casual dining restaurant chain in the mid 70's, Chili's Grill & Bar has since set its foot in more than 30 countries worldwide. I went to their restaurant chain at Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya with a bunch of singing birds after choir practice a long time ago...

Lampshade printed with menu

BBQ Beef Ribs
There was a huge slab of beef attached to 3 rib bones (half a rack, I think eh?)  complemented with fries and corn on the cob. The dish costed Rm 57.95 exclusive of 6% GST as well as 10% service charge.

New York Strip Steak (Rm53.95)
The seasoned-butter-topped meat was particularly tender; not to mention that it was more succulent than the Beef Ribs. The mashed potato had a very nice buttery fragrance, and what's more, the bacon strips brought the overall taste to a whole new level! Well, no comment on the blanched Broccoli... You know what I would say...

Crispy Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers (Rm 28.95)

My fav dish among all! For the uninitiated, Chipotle is a kind of hot chili pepper used mostly in Mexican cooking. And it was that Chipotle fella that made the chicken spicy. The caramelization of the Chicken Crispers rendered a rather pleasant taste sensation which made this dish a memorable one.

Ancho Salmon (Rm39.95)

No idea how it tasted like....

House Salad (Rm 7.95)
Mixture of crispy tortilla strips, shredded carrots, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese served with whatever dressing I have forgotten... Anyway, it's colourful.....eh?

Chipotle Chicken Pesto Pasta (Rm 27.95)
Penne pasta with Chipotle pesto sauce. SPICY! A tad dry for my liking since I prefer creamy type of pasta.

All in all, CHILI'S is HOT; it could easily burn a big hole in your pocket!
